The number one question I get constantly is some variation of where do I look for homeschooling resources? I have no idea where to start, can you tell me all of your favorite links and resources? Or I’m so scared to homeschool my child because I don’t know how they’ll turn out. Or how do you start? I’m going against my entire family by deciding to keep my child out of school and I need your help.
I have been thinking about writing this post for quite a while! I'm excited I had an opportunity while in the flow of writing to get it out. I'm a long time user of organic clothing, sustainable products, eco and rechargeable items for over 12 years now. I've also been living off-grid on solar power for close to 6 years now. You might say I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to my gear. I've been traveling alone and with children since I was a teenager, and I've definitely refined things over the years! I like keeping things organized and accessible, there's just no time for frantically searching for things while running into a store or chasing after kids in airports.
Because of a really funky night of sleep on the evening of the full moon supermoon, I felt cranky and slow to start the other day. Truth be told, my little peanut in the belly was moving around so much when I was laying down in bed, I didn’t want to miss a second and ended up just starting out the window at the full moon enjoying the motions.
We can remember the the joy and excitement we got from seeing collections of stackable brightly colored containers of play dough in our childhoods. There was something so intriguing about the color and consistency. It held the sensational promise of creativity and exploration with it's curious squish and shapable features. That is exactly the kind of engagement and fulfillment we want Wilder to have around here when we play.
