We can remember the the joy and excitement we got from seeing collections of stackable brightly colored containers of play dough in our childhoods. There was something so intriguing about the color and consistency. It held the sensational promise of creativity and exploration with it's curious squish and shapable features. That is exactly the kind of engagement and fulfillment we want Wilder to have around here when we play.
I've been thinking a lot lately about how to encourage my little one to be himself day in and day out, no matter the people he is surrounded by. So far I think we've been mostly successful with this nature blossoming in him, and there's always ways we can improve in this, since hardly any of us adults were raised with this in mind.
Well it happened again yesterday evening. We have a few wasp nests that have decided to make their home on the side of our house. There are a few nests up in the roof and we think there's one inside our deck as well. As of yesterday, we've decided it's time for them to vacate the premises and find a new home.
