Smoothie Pick-Me-Up

Hey ya'll! The other day I made a great smoothie for an afternoon treat for Wilder and I. It ended up being a delicious strawberry milkshake which we both drank lots of. I posted a picture on instagram of our drinks and a friend asked for the recipe, so I thought I'd share it with you all.

1 cup frozen strawberries

1-2 cups raw milk (goat, cow, hemp, etc)

pinch of vanilla powder

1-2 TB of colostrum

1-2 TB cold-pressed coconut oil

tiny touch of stevia powder

I didn't specify, but obviously go for the highest quality ingredients whenever you make anything you're going to consume. I would always go for organic, but sometimes that can hold you back when you have non-certified higher quality items available. For example, if a local farmer nearby has high quality or even biodynamic quality food but isn't certified organic which could be shipped across the country - the local non certified would probably be the better option!

The colostrum adds a bit of extra nutrition and also helps with the creaminess!

We get our raw milk from an amazing Amish farm right down the road from us that is milked from exclusively grass-fed jersey only cows.
