Working from Home - An Honest Share

Many of you have been asking me lately, for more tips on working from home while watching & raising kids, and how to do it all.

The truth is, I have no f*cking clue how to do it.

Every day I struggle with it at some point or another, every day I disappoint myself with feeling like I didn’t have enough time for my child, not having enough time for myself, and I get up the next day and try again.

I create zones around my house that are enticing for them to have an activity to do, which also means more cleaning and tidying needed at some point. And sometimes they want to play or do something on their own, sometimes they just don’t want to.

The point is, every day I wake up and try my best to do it over again and do it better the next day. I fail my own goals all the time, and I get up the next day, sip on my morning coffee and write in my journal, and try again.

We can really only ever just try our best. And somedays, our best isn’t even really our best, it’s just enough to get through the day. And that’s ok too.

There’s no manual, there’s no guide, there’s no perfect way to be a parent. There’s no perfect way to be a parent who works full time from home.
